NAICS Definitions (https://www.census.gov/naics/?48967) Definitions of various versions of North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes. NAICS is the standard used by Federal statistical agencies in classifying business establishments for the purpose of collecting, analyzing, and publishing statistical data related to the U.S. business economy. NAICS was developed under the auspices of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and adopted in 1997 to replace the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) system. It was developed jointly by the U.S. Economic Classification Policy Committee (ECPC), Statistics Canada, and Mexico's Instituto Nacional de Estadistica y Geografia, to allow for a high level of comparability in business statistics among the North American countries.

NAICS Concordances (https://www.census.gov/naics/?68967) Crosswalks between various versions of NAICS codes and between NAICS codes and other industrial classification systems, including the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) (https://www.osha.gov/data/sic-manual); the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities Revision 4 (ISIC Rev. 4) (https://unstats.un.org/unsd/publication/seriesM/seriesm_4rev4e.pdf); and the Statistical Classification of Economic Activities in the European Community, Rev. 1.1 (NACE Rev 1.1) (Europa - RAMON - Classifications Download List).

NAPCS Definitions (https://www.census.gov/naics/napcs/) The North American Product Classification System (NAPCS) is a comprehensive, market- or demand-based, hierarchical classification system for products (goods and services) that (a) is not industry-of-origin based but can be linked to the NAICS industry structure, (b) is consistent across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and (c) promotes improvements in the identification and classification of service products across international classification systems, such as the Central Product Classification System of the United Nations.

SIC Concordances (http://faculty.tuck.dartmouth.edu/teresa-fort/data) Official concordances from the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) manuals between the SIC 1972 and SIC 1977 and the SIC 1977 and SIC 1987 codes. For details, see Teresa C. Fort & Shawn D. Klimek, 2018. "The Effects of Industry Classification Changes on US Employment Composition," Working Papers 18-28, Center for Economic Studies, U.S. Census Bureau (https://www2.census.gov/ces/wp/2018/CES-WP-18-28.pdf).
