BOC PIK Crosswalk Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP)
Add to My BasketDescription
The Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP) Protected Identification Key (PIK) Crosswalks are used to link SIPP microdata files to other microdata files with a PIK variable. The SIPP PIK Crosswalks can also be used to link internal SIPP microdata with public use SIPP microdata. This dataset contains files for individual years of the crosswalk. For a consolidated crosswalk containing all of the years together, with duplicate PIKS removed, see BOC consolidated PIK Crosswalk Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP) (417).
The SIPP collects information on source and amount of income, labor force information, program participation and eligibility data, and general demographic characteristics to measure the effectiveness of existing federal, state, and local programs; to estimate future costs and coverage for government programs, such as food stamps; and to provide improved statistics on the distribution of income in the country.
