Add to My BasketDescription
The 2017 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) Reading Student Response Data are a subset of assessment data collected in the annual NAEP assessments in 2017. These data have already been approved for use by some external researchers within the NAEP Reading Automated Scoring Challenge. The data are now included in an official NCES restricted-use dataset for use by the larger research community. This RUF comprises student responses to reading items taken from the NAEP 2017 Reading assessments for grades 4 and 8, with associated examinee demographic data. The main purpose of the data is to provide a snapshot measurement of student reading proficiency for fourth- and eighth graders in the United States. There are many other research questions related to student reading proficiency that can be investigated with these data.
