Detailed Methodology
The sampling frame was composed of Master files for all American physicians who met the following criteria: Outpatient or office-based; Principally engaged in patient care activities; Non-federally employed (except those in Indian Health Service settings); Not in specialties of anesthesiology, pathology, or radiology; Younger than 71 years of age at the time of the survey; Was an eligible respondent to 2024 NEHRS; and had a valid National Provider Identifier (NPI).
