The Census of Agriculture for Outlying Areas conducted in Guam is designed to obtain data on a totally exhaustive list of agricultural commodities. The census also collects expense, income, and agricultural practices data, operator characteristics such as race, gender, age, tenure on the farm, and operating arrangements.

The purpose of the Census of Agriculture is to enumerate all members of a population with a defined characteristic. For the Guam Census of Agriculture, that goal is to account for “any place from which $1,000 or more of agricultural products were produced and sold, or normally would have been sold, during the census year.”
